La Salle, Manitoba is currently the largest community in the rural municipality of Macdonald, situated along the banks of the La Salle River.
With a population of approximately 2,800, the community members are active in establishing facilities and infrastructure that will meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Local businesses contribute to the progressive and interactive lifestyle of the community.
In addition to an active Main Street, many other local home-based businesses and an active agricultural community make the community attractive for both residents and business.
With the La Salle River winding through the community, outdoor recreational activities can be pursued on a year-round basis. Winter brings new life to the area as residents create skating rinks, toboggan runs, and bonfire pits along the river. Snowmobiling is a favorite pastime in the area as well.
The community also has some of the best recreational facilities in the municipality, including a community hall, curling rink, hockey rink, soccer and football fields, baseball diamonds, and Kingswood Golf and Country Club.
